Houston Dental Bonding

Dental bonding offers a simple and painless way to strengthen and beautify your smile. By spreading a coat of composite resin on the surface of your teeth and precisely manipulating it to look just like your natural tooth, your smile can be transformed from lackluster to brilliant in one sitting.

Restore Your Smile

The tooth bonding process remedies damaged teeth, minor chips, discoloration, and cracks. Bonding can also be used to enhance the color, shape, and size of your teeth for a more harmonious look. No anesthetic injections are required for the procedure, and, you’ll agree, the end result is a natural, healthy smile with no sign of damage or stains.

Compared to porcelain veneers, dental bonding is faster and less expensive than a complete smile makeover. And when the work is done by an expert cosmetic dentist like Dr. Coleman, the final product is truly a work of art. It is important to understand, though, that tooth bonding will not last as long as porcelain veneers and will require some maintenance as the years go by.

How Tooth Bonding Works

In these before and after images you can see how beautifully this tooth was restored with dental bonding.

To begin, the area of the tooth that surrounds the damaged portion will be roughened slightly and etched. This etching of the tooth enables the bonding composite to adhere correctly. The bonding material is a thick paste and can be manipulated by Dr. Coleman to look exactly like your natural tooth. It doesn’t take long to harden with a special curing light. Then, it will be shaped and the color will be matched perfectly to the surrounding teeth. The tooth will then be polished and no one will ever know you had any work done.
